The Last Guardian Delayed Until December 9th

In a post today on the EU PlayStation Blog website, Shuhei Yoshida announced that The Last Guardian’s release date has been pushed back to the 9th of December.

The Last Guardian delayed

In the post, Yoshida described gen DESIGN and JAPAN Studio’s vision for the PS4 exclusive, and cited unexpected bugs as the reason for the delay.

“A delay is a difficult decision, particularly with this game, but we have encountered more bugs than anticipated while in the final stages of development. To ensure that The Last Guardian delivers on the experience that the game’s creators have envisioned, we need to take the extra time to work on those issues.”

Since its announcement back in 2009, The Last Guardian has suffered from a frustratingly long series of setbacks. But with Team Ico fans having waited a good seven years already, we somewhat doubt they’ll mind waiting an extra few weeks.
